Henning posted this story about a female elk, whose neck got somehow stuck in a plastic chair. Fortunately – for her, not the chair – the chair broke and she was free after a few days again.

Reminds me on a very similar story from Sweden, that had a less happy ending in 2000: In Smaland a plastic chair got entangled in the antlers of an elk. The forest administration ordered the shooting of the animal since the chair “most probably causes considerable suffering”.
